1. Information We Collect

Personal information you provide. The only personal information you provide through the Service is your email address (for sign-ups, newsletters, or account creation), unless you provide additional details voluntarily.

Usage and device data. We automatically collect certain technical and usage information when you visit the Service, such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, and timestamps.

Cookies and tracking technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies (including Google Analytics and Google Ads tracking) for analytics, functionality, and advertising as described below.

Device fingerprinting. We collect a browser fingerprint — a hash derived from your browser's technical characteristics (such as canvas rendering, audio context, screen properties, and installed fonts) — for the purpose of fraud prevention and abuse detection. This fingerprint is stored as a one-way hash and cannot be used to identify you personally. It is used solely to detect and prevent multi-account abuse of our free tier.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve our Service.
• To send you transactional or promotional emails if you have opted in to receive them (you may opt out at any time).
• To analyze how users access and use the Service (analytics).
• To deliver and measure advertising and marketing campaigns via Google Ads.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.
• Detecting and preventing abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service (including multi-account abuse and free tier circumvention).

3. Google Analytics & Google Ads

We use Google Analytics to analyze usage of the Service and Google Ads to run and measure advertising campaigns. These services use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the Service and other websites, which may include IP address, device identifiers, and behavior data. Google may combine information it collects from our site with information from other sites and services. Google’s use of data is governed by Google’s own policies: Google Privacy Policy.

Consent: We will only load analytics/ads scripts that set non-essential cookies if you consent via our cookie consent control. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time using the cookie preferences UI.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal data under these legal bases:

• Consent — where you give consent (e.g., to receive marketing emails or to allow non-essential cookies).
• Legitimate interests — for analytics, fraud prevention, and improving the Service, where those interests do not override your rights.
• Legal obligation — where required by law.
• Legitimate interests — processing device fingerprints and anonymized usage patterns for fraud prevention and abuse detection (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have assessed that this processing is necessary for our legitimate interest in preventing service abuse, and that this interest is not overridden by your rights, given that: (a) the fingerprint is a one-way hash that cannot identify you, (b) it is used solely for abuse prevention, and (c) it does not affect legitimate single-account users.

5. The Files You Upload

To generate labels, you upload spreadsheets containing the information to be printed. This data often relates to your own customers or recipients rather than to you.

We handle it on your behalf and on your instructions. We process the contents of your uploaded files only to generate the labels you asked for and to provide support when you ask for it. We do not use your file contents for any other purpose, we do not sell or share them.

How long we keep them. Your uploaded files and the labels generated from them are stored so you can re-download and re-run your work. They are automatically and permanently deleted at the end of the retention period for your plan — 12 months on paid plans, 30 days on the free plan. Files uploaded by guest users (who have not created an account) are deleted within 72 hours.

Deleting them yourself. You can delete a label job, together with its uploaded file and generated labels, at any time from your account. Closing your account deletes all of them.

If you are uploading other people's personal data. Where your files contain personal data about your own customers or recipients, you are the data controller for that information and we act as your processor.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers: third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf. Our current providers are:
  • Google Cloud Platform — hosting and file storage
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
  • Better Stack (Logtail) — application logging and monitoring
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads — analytics and advertising measurement

• Legal requirements: when required by law or to respond to lawful requests by public authorities.

We will update this list before adding a new provider that processes personal data.

7. Access by Our Team

Our team can view account and configuration information — your plan, usage, label templates, and the technical status of your label jobs — in order to operate the Service and respond to support requests.

The contents of your uploaded files are treated differently. We do not browse them. A member of our team can open an uploaded file, or the labels generated from it, only where that is necessary to operate the Service or to investigate a problem — for example when you have contacted us about a failed label job. Where we are required to by law, or need to investigate a suspected security issue or a violation of our Terms, we may also access files without a support request from you.

Every such access is recorded. We log who opened the file, which file it was, and when. These records are retained as part of our security and audit logs, and you may request a copy of the records relating to your own account using the contact details below.

8. Your Rights & Choices

GDPR (EU/UK/EEA)

You may have the right to:

• Request access to and a copy of personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Request deletion of personal data (subject to legal exceptions).
• Object to or restrict processing of your personal data.
• Request portability of your personal data in a commonly used format.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

CCPA/CPRA (California)

California residents have rights including:

• The right to know categories of personal information collected, sources, purpose for collection, and categories of recipients.
• The right to request deletion of personal information.
• The right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal data; however cookie-based advertising may be considered "sharing").
• The right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any rights, please contact us directly at the contact information in the Contact Us section. We will respond within one month of receiving your request, as required by GDPR. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

You can delete your label jobs, uploaded files, and templates yourself at any time from your account, and close your account to delete all of them.

You can download a complete copy of your data at any time, without asking us, from Account → Your Data. The download is a ZIP file containing your account details, your templates, your batch history, your account activity, the record of every time our team opened one of your files, and — if you choose to include them — the spreadsheets you uploaded and the PDFs we generated from them. The records are provided as JSON, a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, so you can take them to another service without our involvement. Because that download gathers all of your uploaded data in one place, we email you a one-time code to confirm the request before it will run, and email you again once it has. If you would rather we send you a copy, contact us and we will.

9. Data Retention

How long we keep each kind of data:

• Account data (email address, plan, settings) — for as long as your account is open, and afterwards only as long as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
• Uploaded files and generated labels — 12 months on paid plans, 30 days on the free plan, 72 hours for guest users. See section 5.
• Label templates and saved settings — for as long as your account is open, or until you delete them.
• Security and audit logs (including records of access by our team, described in section 7) — up to 24 months.
• Application and diagnostic logs — up to 30 days.
• Billing records — retained as long as required by tax and accounting law, typically 7 years.
• Usage and analytics data — retained in aggregated or pseudonymized form; retention periods depend on the provider's settings (e.g., Google Analytics retention controls).

Abuse prevention data. Anonymized device fingerprints and aggregated usage counts used for abuse prevention are retained for up to 12 months after last activity, or until manually reviewed and cleared. This data persists beyond account deletion to prevent repeat abuse but cannot be used to identify individual users.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the personal information we hold. These include encryption of data in transit, access to production systems and customer data restricted to authorized personnel who need it, and audit logging of staff access to customer files as described in section 7.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and any relevant supervisory authority as required by applicable law.

11. International Transfers

Your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than the one in which you reside (including the United States). When we transfer personal data across borders we take steps to ensure it is protected consistent with this policy and applicable law (e.g., standard contractual clauses where appropriate).

12. Children

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover we have collected information from a child without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

13. Cookies & Tracking — Preference Controls

We use cookies and similar technologies for necessary site functions, analytics (Google Analytics), and marketing (Google Ads). You can accept or decline non-essential cookies via the consent banner. You can also manage cookie settings in your browser at any time.

14. Third-Party Links

The Service may include links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing personal data.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. When we update the policy we will post the new version with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
